I have used this package to create www.railwaypictures.co.uk The main reason I chose this was the ability to search the picture information. Once installed you can manage your site and upload pictures through the website. It will automatically create thumbnails for your pictures and allow you to resize images. It allows the you to validate images before they go on the site to stop inappropriate images being posted.
